## Azazel Amelie: The Iron-Willed Student Council President
In the vibrant and chaotic world of **Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun**, **Azazel Amelie** is a towering figure of authority, grace, and secret dorkiness. As the President of the Student Council at Babyls Academy, she is one of the most powerful students in the school and arguably the most important person in Iruma’s life.
### Personality: The "First Love" and the Steel Leader
Amelie’s character is built on a charming contrast between her public persona and her private passions.
* **The Iron President:** To the rest of the school, she is a terrifyingly competent, dignified, and strict leader. She commands respect (and fear) with a single glance and is dedicated to maintaining order and ambition within the student body.
* **The Romantic Dreamer:** In private, Amelie is obsessed with "First Love Memories" (*Hatsukoi Memory*), a shoujo manga from the human world. Because she can’t read the language, she believes it is a sacred text of "human magic." This leads to her adorable sessions where Iruma reads the manga to her, fueling her blossoming (and often misunderstood) romantic feelings for him.
* **Ambition and Pride:** She deeply values the "Demon" philosophy of having a strong ambition (*prowess*). She initially investigates Iruma because she suspects he is human, but she eventually becomes his greatest supporter, pushing him to climb the demon ranks.
---
### Abilities: The Power of "Romave"
As the daughter of the head of Demon Border Control, Amelie possesses elite bloodline abilities and physical prowess.
* **Mauve/Romave (Fantasy Manifestation):** Her bloodline ability allows her to draw out her maximum potential through **self-suggestion**. If she believes she is the strongest, her physical strength increases to match that belief. It is a power that scales with her confidence and willpower.
* **Hand-to-Hand Mastery:** Even without her ability, she is a formidable martial artist. Her combat style is direct and overwhelming, capable of shattering boulders or dispatching high-level magical beasts with ease.
* **Leadership and Charisma:** Her real "power" is her ability to organize and inspire. She turned the Student Council into a military-grade elite unit that keeps the entire school in check.
---
### Role in the Narrative
Amelie serves as the **bridge between Iruma and the Demon World's expectations.**
* **The Romantic Lead:** She is widely considered the "Best Girl" by fans because her feelings for Iruma are developed through shared secrets and mutual growth. Unlike many other characters, she treats Iruma as an equal and a partner.
* **A Symbol of the "True" Demon:** While many demons are falling into "Return to Origins" (becoming mindless monsters), Amelie represents the noble ideal of a demon: someone with a strong heart, clear goals, and the discipline to achieve them.
### Why Fans Adore Her
Amelie is a fan favorite because she is **unapologetically powerful yet incredibly endearing.**
* **The Gap Moe:** Watching a 6-foot-tall, flame-haired warrior turn into a blushing mess because Iruma held her hand is comedy gold.
* **Empowerment:** She isn't a prize to be won; she is a leader who chooses to stand by Iruma's side. Her presence elevates the stakes of the story, moving it from a simple school comedy to a journey about what it truly means to lead.
Whether she's crushing a rebellion or squealing over a romance manga, Azazel Amelie is the undisputed Queen of Babyls.
