## Colette Loire: The Earth Princess of *Wistoria*

In the magical world of **Wistoria: Wand and Sword**, **Colette Loire** serves as the emotional anchor for the protagonist, Will Serfort. While the series often focuses on Will’s distant goal of reuniting with Elfaria at the top of the tower, Colette represents the warmth and loyalty of the world he currently inhabits.

### Personality and Relationship with Will
Colette is a high-achieving student at the Regarden Magical Academy, yet she lacks the elitist prejudice common among her peers. She is Will's closest friend and most vocal supporter, often stepping in to shield him from the bullying of other students.

Her feelings for Will are an "open secret" to everyone except Will himself. She carries a heavy crush that manifests as:
* **Fierce Protectiveness:** She hates seeing Will looked down upon and often puts her own reputation on the line to defend him.
* **Comedic Jealousy:** She frequently clashes with **Rosti Nauman**, viewing him as a romantic rival for Will’s attention.
* **Unconditional Support:** Unlike many who see Will as "magically defective," Colette recognizes his worth as a person and a warrior.

### Abilities: The Earth Princess
Despite her "girl next door" persona, Colette is a powerhouse. She hails from **House Loire**, a noble family that fell from grace but was once famous for producing multiple *Magia Vander*.
* **Earth Magic:** Colette is a master of Earth Sique magic, capable of manipulating stone and soil with devastating force.
* **The Bloodseal Bracelet:** She wears a mysterious bracelet that is heavily implied to be a limiter. Fans often theorize that Colette is far more powerful than she lets on, potentially suppressing her true strength to remain by Will's side at the Academy.
* **Golem Summoning:** She can manifest massive golems to aid in combat, though she jokingly dislikes how "burly" they look.

### The Hidden Depth
Beneath her cheerful exterior lies a darker past. Light novels reveal that during her first year at the academy, Colette was in a state of despair and was significantly more "disheveled" and emotionless. It was her encounter with Will—and his refusal to give up despite his lack of magic—that pulled her out of that darkness.

Colette is a fan favorite because she isn't just a "third wheel" in a love triangle; she is a high-tier mage whose loyalty and hidden power make her one of the most formidable and beloved characters in the series.
