Description
Katia Waldheim is a character from Schwarzesmarken, the alternate-history science fiction story set within the Muv-Luv universe. The series takes place in East Germany in 1983, where humanity faces the BETA, a hostile extraterrestrial force, using large combat machines known as Tactical Surface Fighters. Its setting combines military science fiction with the political tensions and divided loyalties of Cold War-era Europe.
The story follows the 666th Tactical Surface Fighter Squadron, a unit operating under the pressures of both the battlefield and the East German state. Katia’s place in this world connects her character to the wider conflicts shaping Schwarzesmarken, where survival, duty, and political control are closely intertwined. The series expands the Muv-Luv setting through a distinct historical period and a focus on a military unit confronting threats on multiple fronts.
