Description
Marin Kitagawa is the lively central character of My Dress-Up Darling, the English title of the anime and manga Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru. She is a high school student with a deep enthusiasm for cosplay, fashion, and the characters she admires. Her confidence and openness help drive the story, especially when her interest in costume-making brings her together with classmate Wakana Gojo, who has experience sewing traditional hina dolls.
The series pairs Marin’s outgoing nature with Wakana’s quieter, detail-focused approach to craft. Their shared cosplay projects create the basis for a friendship built on creative collaboration, mutual respect, and learning from one another. Marin’s passion is not limited to wearing costumes; she takes her favorite fictional characters seriously and puts thought into how to represent them. That dedication is a defining part of her role in the story.
