## Chitose Shirakawa: The Energetic Wingwoman
In the sweet and slow-burning romance of **The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten**, **Chitose Shirakawa** (often called "Chii-chan") is the vibrant spark of energy that keeps the story's cozy atmosphere from becoming too quiet. While Mahiru and Amane are busy navigating their shy, domestic bliss, Chitose is the one breaking down their walls with her boisterous personality.
### The Heart of the Friend Group
Chitose is the girlfriend of Itsuki Akasawa (Amane’s best friend), and together they form the core social circle that surrounds the main couple.
* **The "Genki" Girl:** She is loud, cheerful, and physically affectionate. Her high-octane energy serves as a perfect contrast to Amane’s introversion and Mahiru’s refined, "Angel" persona.
* **Perceptive and Meddlesome:** Despite her flighty appearance, Chitose is incredibly sharp. She was one of the first to realize the true nature of the relationship between Amane and Mahiru. She takes it upon herself to act as a "wingwoman," often teasing them or creating situations that force them to be more honest about their feelings.
* **Pure Sincerity:** While she loves to tease, her actions always come from a place of deep friendship. She genuinely loves Mahiru—often smothering her with hugs—and treats her like the sister she never had.

### Personality: Refreshingly Honest
Chitose is one of the few characters who can speak to Mahiru without the "Angel" filter. She treats Mahiru like a normal teenage girl rather than a distant idol, which is exactly what Mahiru needs to feel human.
* **A Stable Romance:** Her relationship with Itsuki is one of the most refreshing parts of the series. They are openly affectionate and stable, providing a "completed" version of romance that Amane and Mahiru are slowly working toward.
* **The Emotional Support:** When Mahiru struggles with her family issues or her self-worth, Chitose is there with unwavering loyalty and a loud voice to drown out any negativity.
### Role in the Narrative
Chitose acts as the **bridge to the outside world**. Without her, Amane and Mahiru might have stayed in their comfortable, isolated bubble forever. She forces them to interact with their peers, go on group outings, and confront the reality that they look like a married couple to everyone else.
She is a fan favorite because she is the **ultimate hype-man.** Every romance needs a friend who is willing to scream "Just get married already!" on behalf of the audience, and Chitose performs that role with absolute perfection.
