## Eva Renfield: The Unsung Heroine of the First Step
In the high-stress world of **Let This Grieving Soul Retire** (*Nageki no Bourei wa Intai Shitai*), **Eva Renfield** is the Vice Clan Master (VCM) of the "First Step" clan. While Krau Andrey (Krai) is the figurehead leader who wants nothing more than to quit, Eva is the administrative genius who prevents the entire organization from descending into absolute anarchy.
### Personality: The Calm in the Storm
Eva is characterized by her professionalism, composure, and saint-like patience.
* **The Competent Right Hand:** She is famously known as Krau’s most trusted assistant. She handles the bureaucracy, the scheduling, and the delicate political maneuvering required to manage a clan filled with high-level, eccentric treasure hunters.
* **A "Soul Who Yearns to Retire":** Much like Krau, Eva often finds herself overwhelmed by the chaotic nature of her job. She is the "straight man" to the group's madness, frequently seen dealing with the aftermath of Krau’s accidental "schemes" with a tired but dedicated sigh.
* **Highly Perceptive:** While most of the world thinks Krau is a god-tier genius with infinite foresight, Eva is one of the few people who sees the "real" him—the guy who is just winging it. However, she respects his results (however accidental they may be) and works tirelessly to make his vague whims a reality.

### Appearance and Design: The Professional Beauty
Eva's design reflects her status as an elite administrator rather than a front-line combatant.
* **Visual Style:** She typically has long, dark hair and sharp, intelligent eyes. She is usually dressed in formal or semi-formal business attire that signifies her authority within the clan house.
* **The Aura of Authority:** Despite not being a Level 8 Hunter like Krau's childhood friends, she commands immense respect. Even the most violent and ego-driven hunters in the clan tend to listen to Eva because they know she’s the one who controls the paperwork and the rewards.
---
### Role in the Clan: The Infrastructure
Without Eva Renfield, the "First Step" clan would likely be disbanded or burned to the ground within a week.
* **The Filter:** She acts as the gatekeeper for Krau, filtering out the constant requests for his help so he can (theoretically) relax.
* **Logistical Support:** When Krau sends his party on a mission based on a "hunch," Eva is the one who organizes the supplies, the back-end support, and the legal clearances.
* **The Emotional Support:** She is one of the few people Krau can actually talk to normally. While his childhood friends worship him or terrify him, Eva treats him like a human being—albeit an extremely troublesome one.
---
### Why Fans Respect Her
Eva is a fan favorite because she represents the **"Hardworking Professional."**
* **Relatability:** In a world of monsters and magic, Eva’s struggle with workplace stress and "idiot coworkers" is deeply relatable to the audience.
* **The Power of the Pen:** She proves that in a world of treasure hunters, the person who manages the guild is just as important as the person who slays the dragon.
Eva Renfield is a reminder that behind every legendary "Thousand Tricks" leader, there is an even more legendary assistant making sure those tricks actually work.
**Between Lucia (the powerhouse sister) and Eva (the administrative genius), who do you think has the harder job keeping Krau's life together?**
