## Kaede Kazama: The Athletic Heart of Ousei Academy
In the world of **I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too** (*Iseleve*), **Kaede Kazama** represents the pinnacle of the "healthy and energetic" school life. As a student at the prestigious Ousei Academy and a member of the track and field club, she is one of the first people to treat the "new" Yuuya Tenjou with genuine warmth and normalcy.
### Personality: The Bright and Breezy Athlete
Kaede is characterized by her **boundless energy and refreshing honesty**. While other characters are often caught up in the drama of Yuuya’s supernatural beauty or his otherworldly powers, Kaede approaches him with a straightforward, friendly attitude.
* **The "Genki" Archetype:** She is consistently upbeat and serves as a mood-maker for her class. Her presence often lightens the mood during school events or when Yuuya is feeling overwhelmed by his sudden popularity.
* **Deeply Observant:** Beneath her energetic exterior, she is very kind and perceptive. She recognizes Yuuya's innate kindness and was one of the few who stood up for him or showed him genuine interest regardless of his physical transformation.
* **Competitive Spirit:** As a track star, she has a strong sense of sportsmanship and determination. This athletic background gives her a "cool" edge that balances her cute and bubbly personality.

### Appearance and Style
Kaede embodies the "sporty girl" aesthetic. She is usually seen in her school uniform or her track gear, often characterized by:
* **Short, Practical Hair:** Her hairstyle reflects her active lifestyle.
* **Physical Fitness:** Her character design emphasizes her toned, athletic build, setting her apart from the more traditional "graceful lady" types like Kaori Houjou or the fantasy princesses.
* **Expressive Nature:** She is very physically expressive, often seen gesturing wildly or wearing a wide, infectious grin.
### Role in the Narrative
Kaede serves as a crucial part of Yuuya’s **"Real World" support system**.
* **Normalcy and Grounding:** In a story that often jumps between slaying dragons and meeting gods, Kaede’s interactions with Yuuya during PE class or school trips provide a necessary sense of grounding. She represents the "normal high school life" that Yuuya missed out on for so long.
* **Part of the "Yuuya Circle":** Along with Kaori and Yukine, she forms the core group of girls who are romantically interested in Yuuya. Her dynamic is more casual and "buddy-like," though she isn't shy about expressing her attraction to him in her own energetic way.
### Why Fans Like Her
Kaede is a fan favorite because she is **uncomplicated and sincere**. In a genre full of "damsels in distress" or "icy geniuses," her character is a breath of fresh air. She is the girl who would challenge you to a race, cheer the loudest for you at a game, and then honestly tell you how much she enjoys your company over a post-school snack.
