## Mina Ashido: The Pinky of Class 1-A
In the world of **My Hero Academia** (*Boku no Hero Academia*), **Mina Ashido** (Hero Name: **Pinky**) is the energetic, breakdancing heart of Class 1-A. While she often serves as the group's "mood maker," she possesses one of the most versatile and dangerous Quirks in the class, along with a surprisingly heroic backstory.
### Personality: The Social Butterfly
Mina is defined by her outgoing nature and her obsession with romance and fun.
* **The Emotional Glue:** She is incredibly friendly and is one of the few students who can get along with everyone—even the more difficult personalities like Bakugo or the shy Koda.
* **The "Shipping" Captain:** She is the first person to notice a crush or a romantic spark between her classmates, often teasing Deku or Ochaco about their feelings.
* **A Natural Leader:** Though she isn't the top student academically, she has a natural charisma that people gravitate toward. She was the one who taught the class how to dance for the School Festival, turning a stressful situation into a bonding experience.
---
### Abilities: The Acid Queen
Mina’s Quirk is **Acid**, allowing her to secrete a corrosive liquid from her skin.
* **Corrosive Offense:** She can melt through metal, stone, and enemy defenses with ease.
* **Defensive Solubility:** She can create a "film" of acid on her skin to melt incoming projectiles or make herself too slippery to grab.
* **Acid Slide:** By secreting acid from her feet, she can "skate" across the ground at high speeds, making her one of the most mobile fighters in the class.
* **Ultimate Move: Acidman:** Inspired by Kirishima’s "Unbreakable" form, she creates a giant, gelatinous shroud of acid around her body that provides near-total defense and offense.
---
### Appearance: The Alien Queen
Mina has one of the most unique and striking designs in the series:
* **Visual Style:** She has pink skin, messy pink hair, and black sclera (the whites of her eyes) with yellow irises. She also has two small, yellowish horns on her head.
* **The Hero Costume:** Her outfit is a colorful, 80s-inspired bodysuit with a fur-collared vest and specialized "acid-proof" boots that allow her to use her sliding ability effectively.
---
### Key Moments and Backstory
Mina’s heroism goes back further than almost anyone in Class 1-A.
* **The Middle School Incident:** Years before UA, Mina stood up to a giant villain to protect her friends, while a terrified Kirishima watched from the sidelines. This moment inspired Kirishima to change his hair and become the hero he is today.
* **The Paranormal Liberation War:** In the series' darker arcs, Mina faces the same villain from her past (Gigantomachia). Her struggle to overcome her fear in that moment is one of her most significant character growth points.
### Why Fans Love Her
Mina is a fan favorite because she brings **positivity to a dark world.**
* **The "Vibe":** Her breakdancing combat style is incredibly fun to watch.
* **The Support:** She is the kind of friend everyone wants—someone who will cheer you up after a failure and celebrate your wins louder than anyone else.
Mina Ashido is a reminder that being a hero isn't just about how hard you hit; it's about the spirit you bring to the battlefield and the smiles you protect.
